Menstrual cramps

-common condition

-primary dysmenorrhea (8 out of 10 girls diagnosed)

            -diagnosed when all other causes of pelvic pain are ruled out (PID, Celiac, narrow Os,     Endometriosis, cysts, fibroids)

            -usually due to lack of blood flow (uterus kind of ‘ischemic’) which causes imbalance in   prostaglandin production leading to pain & inflammation

In the morning,

           -Multivitamin

            -OPC3

            -ORAC

At night, after meal,

            -Calcium and Magnesium- controls muscle tone which prevents cramps

            -Digestive Enzyme and probiotics

            -B complex

            -Fish Oils: 1000mg EPA and 750mg DHA studied for PG and anti spasmodic effect done in     younger girls – results showed moderately or completely effective. diets low associated with menstrual pain.

  1. Menstrual Cramps is quite a common problem among women. It pains a lot, every time i suffer from this problem, so i know how it feels. It feels like vomiting, headache, sense of fainting etc. One should do regular exercise, should eat fresh fruits and vegetables, yoga. One should avoid fatty items, caffine, sweets.
